If all I knew would end tonight,
there’s one thing I would say,
“Do you love me now or not?
Did you any day?”
She closed you eyes to find inside
her heart her choice towards me.
She hesitated and then looked down
and I assumed that it couldn’t be.
I walked away, my heart now crushed.
What is there for me now?
I guess I’ll have to leave her side
and go nowhere but down.
Down the path of loss and dread,
I started to head south.
Just then she took me by the hand
and kissed me on the mouth.
I jumped with joy, I jumped with glee,
I didn’t know what to say,
except for a few small words,“I’ve loved you every day.”
