By and by my friends all say,
“What a beautiful girl you have there.”
And I reply with a smile in my eyes,
“She’s mine, so don’t you dare.”
I bring her close and hug her tight,
just a little squeeze.
I lead her to a special place
to propose by a grove of trees.
I got down on one knee and held her hand,
she covered her mouth and gasped.
“Will you marry me, my precious gem?”
And she nodded and then she laughed.
Three months went by to our wedding day.
She looked gorgeous, I almost cried.
She said she would have me forever,
even after we die.
